QA120AFCN decodes to a 20A Siemens combination AFCI with plug-on neutral. The QAF2N design protects one 120V branch circuit from qualifying arc-fault conditions while connecting to the neutral rail of a loadcenter listed for this breaker type.

QA120AFCN specifications

  • Siemens model: QA120AFCN
  • Type: QAF2N combination AFCI
  • Rating: 20A, 1 pole, 120V AC
  • Interrupt capacity: 10 kA at 120V
  • Installation: Plug-in
  • Neutral: Plug-on connection
  • Diagnostics: LED trip indication

The “N” distinguishes the connection

QA120AFCN removes the separate neutral pigtail used on QA120AFC. It remains an AFCI-only breaker; the similar-looking Q120DFN is Siemens’ dual-function AFCI/GFCI model. Those catalog suffixes identify different protection and wiring arrangements.

Use the Siemens directory as authority

Verify that the loadcenter accepts Type QAF2N, then match the 20A handle, one-pole 120V circuit, interrupt rating, and conductor range. Do not infer approval from fit or brand name alone. Equipment instructions and local requirements should be reviewed by the qualified person performing the installation.
