The defining QO120GFI detail: This is the pigtail-neutral version of Square D’s 20-amp QO ground-fault breaker. It provides Class A GFCI protection on a single 120-volt circuit and plugs into compatible QO equipment while its neutral lead terminates at the panel neutral bar.

Why the neutral style matters

QO120GFI should not be chosen as though it were a plug-on-neutral model. The pigtail is an intentional part of this breaker’s connection method. It is also GFCI-only and does not add combination AFCI protection, so match the protection requirement as carefully as the amperage.

Confirm that the loadcenter or panelboard identifies an approved Square D QO breaker family and supports this pigtail-neutral arrangement. Compare the exact catalog number, 20A handle, single-pole layout, 120V rating, and 10 kA interrupting rating with the application. A similar footprint is not proof of interchangeability. The condition shipped is the condition selected on this page; installation and circuit selection should be verified by a qualified person using the equipment instructions and applicable electrical code.
